Those in-game promotions at basketball games where fans attempt a halfcourt shot to win a car or the like aren’t meant to be easy. But the fans selected for those promotions are at least expected to come within a few feet of the hoop.
No wonder the fan selected for the promotion at halftime of Saturday’s Gonzaga-Pacific game is being widely credited for the “worst fan halftime shot ever.”
The fan’s shot seems to never rise more than a foot over his head. And it doesn’t have the distance either, landing short of the foul line. You can see on the fan’s face that at that moment, he’d rather be anywhere else.
Needless to say, this fan should stick to watching basketball instead of playing it.
