When you envision someone covering Justin Bieber, a 6-foot-10, 250-pound man-child does not come to mind. In which case we’d like to thank Michigan freshman center Mitch McGary for shattering our preconceived notions.
In a “Get to Know Your Wolverines” video interview posted to Michigan athletics’ YouTube page, McGary sings a few lines from Bieber’s “You Smile” as part of his answer to the question “What song would you sing for karaoke?” And he actually does a decent job with it.
Before his Bieber moment, McGary revealed Selena Gomez – Bieber’s ex-girlfriend – to be his celebrity crush. So in that regard, his choice of karaoke song makes a lot more sense.

We have a feeling McGary will hear about this from opposing fans on the road throughout his career in Ann Arbor.
