Wazzu’s Ryan Leaf A Soon-To-Be Author

It sounds like some kind of sick joke but we assure you it is not: Former NFL Draft bust Ryan Leaf is writing three books – a trilogy, if you will – about his football career and life after football that has included drug abuse. The first one about Leaf’s time at Washington State is scheduled for an October 2011 release.

Leaf was the second overall pick of the 1998 NFL Draft behind Peyton Manning and is generally considered the greatest draft bust of all time – at least until JaMarcus Russell came along. Working at a Vancouver fishing lodge last year at this time, Leaf currently lives in his hometown of Great Falls, MT. Ryan Leaf profile

What a BUM… Gotta keep the DRUG habit going somehow…

  • chulajuana

this fool cost the Chargers so much more in terms of future drafts

As a Montanan, I wish Leaf would move far, far away. He renounced his ties to Montana years ago and never had a good thing to say about the state. Does anyone seriously think that his books are going to be anything more than ghost-written BS? Don’t buy his stories, don’t buy his books, don’t give him the time of day.

leaf is a bum…he made a joke out of football and the Chargers had to suffer…

  • Leaf Hater

if LEAF wrote the books , look for them to be pop up books or in crayon…what a loser.

    Cryin’ Ryan!

Poster child for the spoiled and entitled. Never worked hard. Mommy & Daddy paid college. Gets first job as a quarterback, blames everyone else for his short comings. Wants to write a book about himself, expects the public to buy it, and make money for doing nothing. Find another sucker.

THREE books? He can’t condense his life into one book?

  • Joy Porter

Lay off him! We have all made mistakes…I think Ryan has learned from his. I believe him this time.
