Former Ohio State and NFL LB Mike Vrabel retired from playing a year and a half ago, but he still has plenty of energy to burn as the defensive line coach at his alma mater. Not to mention a high threshold for pain.
According to Vrabel’s wife, Jen, he split his head open prior to the Michigan game Nov. 24. How? By headbutting one of his players when that player was wearing a helmet.
On a Nov. 25 post to the Buckeyes blog Eleven Warriors, a user was curious as to why Vrabel ran out onto the field for warmups the previous day “with a bloody mess on his shirt.” Mrs. Vrabel was happy to provide the details of her husband’s antics.
If Vrabel is seen on the OSU sidelines next season wearing a helmet, you’ll now know why. Mike Vrabel profile
@derek11w Here’s the pic to prove it! Best not to headbutt a guy w/a helmet on when you aren’t wearing one!! #einstein twitter.com/JenVrabel1/sta…
