Brave Voter Picks Ole Miss as SEC Champ

One brave soul made as big a splash as one can when serving as an anonymous voter.

Bleacher Report’s lead SEC blogger, Barrett Sallee, reported on the results of the SEC media’s choices for who would win the conference’s East and West Divisions and the conference as a whole.

As expected, Georgia and South Carolina go 1–2 in the East while juggernauts LSU and Alabama are the top two in the West. The Bayou Bengals and Crimson Tide that faced off in last season’s national title game are also the overwhelming choices to win the conference crown.

Then there’s one vote to win the SEC West and the whole conference for the Rebels of Ole Miss.

That’s right, the same Rebels who went 2–10 last season and have road games at Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas and LSU. The same Rebels who suffered a 20-point loss at home to a WAC team (Louisiana Tech) and lost to Alabama and LSU by a combined score of 104-10 last fall.

Either there’s a huge homer in the house or the voter was blinded by the beauty of Ole Miss safety Brishen Mathews’ chest tattoo.
