For a brief moment prior to Tuesday’s Ohio State-Michigan game, the folks at the Crisler Center were quite worried about ESPN color commentator Dick Vitale.

For all his boundless energy, it can be easy to forget that Vitale is 73 years old. Fortunately, it was nothing long-term health related that necessitated paramedics’ assistance.

Fortunately for Vitale fans, he was patched up in time to call a game that eventually went into overtime. While we respect how much of a basketball junkie he is, Vitale should work on not being so distracted by hoops that he endures similar collisions in the future.
