Texas’ close call at Oklahoma State during the Longhorns’ 2005 BCS championship season can be divided into two time periods: BPF (Before the Pump Fake) and APF (After the Pump Fake).
UT was trailing 28–12 and faced a 3rd-and-10 from its 20-yard line on the second half’s opening drive. QB Vince Young escaped a collapsing pocket, headed to the right sidelines and faked defensive back Donovan Woods out of his cleats with a pump fake for the ages.
The unforgettable Young scampered 80 yards for a TD. It was the start of a second half dominated by the Longhorns, who shut out the Pokes 35–0 in the final 30 minutes.
