On his biography, Michigan State senior cornerback Johnny Adams is listed as a sociology major. But it appears he’s also taken a theatre course or two during his time in East Lansing.
At the end of the first half’s final play during Saturday’s game against Nebraska, Adams engaged in some normal post-play shoving with Cornhuskers receiver Kenny Bell, who had been blocking Adams on the play.
In an effort to draw an unnecessary roughness penalty on Bell, Adams dove into a head-first somersault more suited for Cirque du Soleil than a football field. Thankfully, the hustling side judge was only a few feet away when this happened, and he wasn’t the least bit fooled.
After all, Bell only outweighs Adams by eight pounds. The leverage needed to send Adams actually flying like that would require Bell to weigh a lot more or have “The Force” from Star Wars.
