[Update: Franklin has denied the tweet was about Hurd to SB Nation. Considering how out of character this seemed, Franklin deserves the benefit of the doubt.]
From the looks of it, James Franklin took to Twitter in a rather confrontational manner to express disappointment in Rivals four-star running back Jalen Hurd committing to in-state rival Tennessee over Vanderbilt (and 13 other schools) on Thursday.
No 1 can offer combination of attributes we can,no 1,best of both worlds,if u want 2 settle in life this probably isn’t place 4 u anyway!

While Franklin didn’t call out Hurd by name, the timing of his post suggests that it was directed at the junior from Hendersonville, TN.
We understand (if not condone) it when Franklin stirs the pot with rival coaches, such as when he referred to Alabama’s coach as “Nicky Satan.” But if this tweet was about Hurd, that’s crossing the line.
