Tennessee athletic director Dave Hart insisted that he be given full control in searching for a new football coach. So how does the Vols community think he’s doing after already getting turned down by ESPN’s Jon Gruden, Louisville’s Charlie Strong and Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy?
Not too well. Blogger Clay Travis says that he received the following text from a prominent Tennessee boster: “Dave Hart couldn’t get laid in a whorehouse with a fist full of hundreds.”
That’s harsh. Not to mention a hilarious rip job.
We do agree, however, that Hart’s inability to get a big name to come to Knoxville when he has money to burn and can offer an SEC program with a 100,000-seat capacity stadium, first-rate facilities and the eighth-most wins in FBS history is perplexing, to say the least.
Maybe a legitimate Craigslist posting that advertises the job isn’t such a far-fetched idea after all.
