The deception that USC coach Lane Kiffin has engaged in this season has grown to such comical levels that it brings to mind a cartoon villain. As a fitting result, the legendary Taiwanese production company Next Media Animation (NMAtv) has given Kiffin the animation treatment.
NMAtv — whose YouTube page has nearly 47,000 subscribers and whose videos have accumulated over 67 million views — posted a video on Friday recapping USC’s season thus far. The highlights include:
- The Trojans student manager (depicted as an actual Trojan) deflating balls during the Oregon game (Kiffin turns him into a goat at a press conference, where other Trojans stab him to death);
- Kiffin painting “35” in place of a “6” on backup QB Cody Kessler’s jersey for a two-point try;
- A Los Angeles Daily News falling through a trap door after reporting on the injury of a USC player, much to Kiffin’s delight.
It’s both trippy and apt at the same time.
