Michigan head coach Brady Hoke is making good on his offseason promise to provide free donuts to student fans who show up prior to the start of Wolverines home games.
According to Hoke, the first 5,000 students to show up for this Saturday’s game against Akron will receive one of the tasty breakfast treats courtesy of Tim Horton’s.
“(They’ll go to) those who get there early,” Hoke said on Detroit’s 97.1 FM on Thursday. “It’s an early game, it’s a doughnut game. We call them glazed doughnut games. Tim Horton’s is helping us out, we’ve got 5,000 donuts.”
Naturally, members of the Twittersphere couldn’t help but make jokes.

Michigan is giving free donuts to first 5,000 students on Saturday?? Probably shouldn’t give any to Brady Hoke.. He doesn’t need any more!

Does this mean we get glazed donuts for all noon games or just the bad games? http://t.co/aCiR15GUHG
