Playing for the Cardinals must have given Louisville’s Chane Behanan the ability to actually fly. He certainly took flight against DePaul on Wednesday night for what might be the Dunk of the Year.
After Behanan came up with a steal while the Cardinals were implementing a full-court press, only Blue Demons guard Worrel Clahar stood between Behanan and the hoop. “No problem,” Behanan likely thought. “I’ll just jump completely over him.”
That’s exactly what he did while finishing with authority. Yet the official positioned on the end line initially called an offensive foul despite the fact that Clahar’s feet were clearly inside the 3-second lane. That the officials gathered to correctly overturn the call was sweet justice for Behanan as well as for us awestruck fans.
