Obama Compares Calhoun To ‘Ruff’

As everyone knows, President Barack Obama is a big basketball fan. But apparently, he needs a lesson in college basketball history.

Obama hosted national champion Connecticut at the White House on Tuesday. As has been noted, coach Jim Calhoun recently joined John Wooden, Adolph Rupp, Mike Krzyzewski and Bob Knight as the only coaches to win three national titles.

Well, Obama accidentally called the legendary Kentucky coach Adolph “Ruff.”

For those conspiracy theorists out there, it should be noted that Obama’s personal aide is former Duke player Reggie Love. Was the gaffe a slip of the tongue, accidentally error…. or sabotage from a Blue Devil?

    I’m a big Obama fan, but any mistake regarding Adolph Rupp is flat-out blasphemy. Obama will still have my vote in 2012, but I’ll be biting my tongue when I hit the button on the booth!

    Also, how could any president have a dookie on his staff. It’s a good thing I’m well-educated and very rational or I’d probably have to become a republican.

    No hits on Republicans! I’m an educated, rational person who doesn’t like Obama! He needs lots of history lessons and am surprised that he doesn’t know it’s Adolph Rupp!

    While it takes a great deal of talent to be on the Duke basketball team, Reggie Love was not a “star” payer by anybody’s standard.

    Ruff is the muslim pronunciation of Rupp. BO is about as christian as the King of Saudia Arabia is.
