Buried on the depth chart of a CFL roster, former Oregon QB Jeremiah Masoli is far removed from the spotlight. And he’s fine with it.
“When it’s not there, it’s good not to have that stress,” he said back in June.
Of course, much of that previous stress Masoli mentioned was brought on by his inability to stay out of his own way.
After leading the Ducks to the Rose Bowl in 2009, Masoli plead guilty to second-degree burglary charges and was suspended for the 2010 season. He was pulled over by police that June with a suspended license and in possession of marijuana and was dismissed from the team entirely.
Masoli spent a nondescript senior season at Ole Miss. At the professional level, he was a training camp signee of the 49ers in 2011 in addition to stops in the UFL (Omaha Nighthawks) and now the CFL. Jeremiah Masoli profile
