The College Football Hall of Fame announced 16 new members today and one extremely notable name was missing: Former Nebraska quarterback Tommie Frazier.
Arguably Nebraska’s greatest player of all-time, Frazier was a two-time national champion and 1995 Heisman Trophy runner-up who went 33-3 as a starter. Naturally, the snub left many across the internet with a bad taste in their mouth.
Said Adam Jacobi of CBSSPorts.com: “So if Tommie Frazier is not an immediate, unquestionable first-ballot Hall of Famer in this sport, then what is the point of having a College Football Hall of Fame?”

College football fans were further incensed by the fact that Arizona defensive lineman Rob Waldrop was a member of this year’s class while Frazier was left out. Although Waldrop was a two-time All-American, you certainly won’t find him on lists of the 100 greatest college football players of all time like Frazier.

this is the result of people being completely jealous of the nebraska tradition. what a bunch of bs and what a bunch of haters. Tommie Frazier was one of the best college quarterbacks of all time. He ran the option to a perfection and was the leader of the greatest team to ever play college football…the 1995 NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS!….as keyshawn johnson cris carter and chris berman would say….C’MON MAAAAAN!…
