Tiki Barber’s fall from grace started when he left his then-wife in April 2010 — when she was pregnant with twins — for an NBC intern, Traci Lynn Johnson, who was 23 years old at the time.
Since then, Barber — a star at Virginia before a 10-year career with the New York Giants — has suffered the following indignities: Getting canned by NBC, being too broke to afford a divorce settlement and being unable to land with an NFL team in an attempted comeback. (Comparing himself to Anne Frank probably didn’t help.)
But hey, he’s still loyal to Johnson. And now they’ve made it official, getting married on Thursday after an engagement of just under 11 months.
Did they get hitched in a swanky hotel ballroom? In the Hamptons overlooking Long Island Sound? Nope. They went with something simple (i.e. cheap).
Many thanks to the NYC Clerk’s office, especially James Mitchell who married me to my love @TraciLJohnson! Excited for the next chapters…
