How is Clemson star Sammy Watkins addressing his drug arrest in May? By finding religion.
The sophomore wide receiver/kick returner was baptized at the NewSpring Church in Anderson, S.C., on Sunday. Two days earlier, Watkins received a two-game suspension stemming from possession of marijuana and two pills (Vyvanse and Adderall) that he did not have a prescription for.
The ACC Digital Network report cites Tigers coach Dabo Swinney saying that Watkins has been “doing everything right to show that his legal troubles are over.”
Judging by the lengths Watkins has gone to literally wash away his sins, we’d say this is a very good sign for Tiger fans.
