Gamecocks Unveil ‘Battle’ Unis for LSU

As No. 3 South Carolina prepares for battle with No. 9 LSU this Saturday, the Gamecocks are doing their best to look the part.

South Carolina will wear custom “Battle” gray uniforms when they take the field at Tiger Stadium. The Under Armour-designed look replaces the normal white on the Gamecocks’ away jerseys with a strong gray. Both the sleeves of the undershirts and the pants are gray and camouflaged.

In terms of gray uniforms, the jerseys look pretty sharp. But the decision to make just the pants and undershirts camouflage and not the jerseys is a little strange. It kind of looks like the Gamecocks are wearing pajama pants. Grade: B-

    I like the gray, but the camo kind of leaves me cold, perhaps the Tigers won’t be able to see the Gamecocks running for a TD.  That would be really cool!

    Under contract u have to wear what they make whether u like it or not. They look cool to me. Recruits want to see this kind of stuff. That’s who u are trying to get attention from. & oh yeah, these will be auctioned off for the Wounded Warrior project. So i’m all for it.

    Yeap…those pants look ridiculous. Who ever designed these should be fired for lack of taste. May help us to win though. LSU team and fans may be laughing so hard they won’t notice as we score. Even if it is for a good cause, I think they could have done a lot better.
