There are traditional ways to execute a fast break, and then there’s the Jamaal Franklin Way. The latter method is significantly more eye-popping.
With San Diego State leading Fresno State, 40–34, on Wednesday night, Franklin — the reigning Mountain West Conference Player of the Year — advanced the ball up the floor on a three-on-three fast break. With both his Aztec teammates covered, Franklin threw the ball off the backboard from beyond the 3-point line, grabbed the rebound on the fly and slammed it home.
It is an early candidate for Dunk of the Year in college basketball. It also probably had SDSU coach Steve Fisher shaking his head at his star player turning a conference game into his own personal And One mix tape display.
