Alabama’s 42-14 BCS title game victory over Notre Dame was completely one-sided.
The Crimson Tide outgained the Irish, 529–302. They converted 8-of-13 third down opportunities. And they held a Notre Dame rushing attack that had averaged over 200 yards per game in the regular season to 32.
You can throw all those statistics out the window, several Irish fans in the Twittersphere insist. Alabama won because the referees screwed Notre Dame over.
I couldn’t hate Alabama more. I wonder how much Satan paid the refs to throw this game.

Is #sec that desperate to have a 7th row to pay the refs to blow those calls? #alabama cheaters again oversigning #notre dame

Games over. Bama owes it to the refs, ND never recovered from the game being fixed early. Good game

I have no idea how bama keeps winning. They obviously are paying the refs or something. They don’t deserve this. Horrible team.

While there was a questionable call or two that went against Notre Dame early, we’d like to see how Irish fans such as these justify blaming the refs for Notre Dame’s sudden inability to tackle.
