Samardzija Disapproves of New ND Unis

Jeff Samardzija didn’t have to see the travesty that is Notre Dame’s “Shamrock Series” uniforms to weigh in on what he thought about them.

“You’d think playing on TV every Saturday would be enough,” the Chicago Cubs pitcher and former Irish receiver told ESPN Chicago’s Doug Padilla.

Samardzija left South Bend five years ago with records for receptions (179), receiving yards (2,593) and receiving TDs (27) but opted for a baseball career over the NFL.

He sounds slightly old fogey-ish when saying that new uniforms are all about “how much confetti and hoopla you can put out there to get guys to come to your school,” but we tend to agree.

We can only imagine the horror on Samadzija’s face once he actually see the uniforms. Jeff Samardzija profile

    I hate to burst your bubble, but Michael Floyd holds all the ND Receiving records. Please do fact checking before you come up with this fabricated story.

      Everything he said was true.  He left South Bend with those records whether they were subsequently broken or not.  Way to be a miserable douche.
