Safety Cusses at Nebraska’s Bo Pelini

Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini is notorious for chewing out his players and normally those conversations are very one-sided.

But on Saturday, safety Daimion Stafford made the ill-advised decision to lash back at the Huskers head man.

During a first half in which Nebraska fell behind Penn State 20-6 at the break while giving up 255 total yards, Pelini and Stafford got into a heated exchange on the sideline in which the defensive back appears to have dropped at least two f-bombs on his head coach.

It wasn’t quite as heated as Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville slapping a graduate assistant on the sideline earlier in the day, but cussing out Bo Pelini is about the worst idea we can think of.

If we were Stafford, we would sleep with one eye open tonight.

Hey these Bobby Knight type coaches deserve a taste of their own medicine.
Bo Pelini is lucky that’s all he got and he didn’t get knocked out!
These type coaches are great role models, so they should be able to handle his own BS when it’s thrown back at him. At least all the world knows, “Houston, we have a problem” and “a failure to communicate”.

ooh-yeah,i thought this funny,bo been dishin it out.payback time.really,i’ve noticed over past several years, since college ball started gettin big $$$,they started acting like pros.coaches doing crazy antics to control high end players.and players are commonly getting arrested for this or that.its all about the money baby.thats what used to separate the two species.

Why do you assume he “likely” spent his formative years around loud, nasty, tough people? You just assume all people (other than Ozzie and Harriet of course) are loud and nasty, or just “certain” folks?
It doesn’t sound like you know him personally, so your assumptions here are as ridiculous as me assuming you must be racist(considering I don’t know you).

You’re right, I don’t know him personally and am not intimately acquainted with his background.  Tell you what you do though, Hoss, go look into the situation yourself and come back and tell me whether or not I was completely off or whether or not there’s a good deal of truth in what I had to say.  His forthright and fearless reaction to the intimidating Pelini in that particular situation suggests much to me whether you agree with my views or not and I stand by them (I do somewhat regret the use of the word “nastier” upon refelction, but the rest of it is fine).  Also, take your allusion to racism in this instance and cram it somewhere as I’m not white.

Yeah, and if you read what happened, he was upset the defensive calls were coming in too late. That’s why NU burned all 3 TO in the first half. Stafford got an INT later in the game. Bo’s post-game comments were it not being big deal.
