Tennessee police need to watch more football.
On February 4th, a 65-year-old woman named Bonnie Jonas-Boggioni and her husband were driving home to Plano, TX, from Columbus, OH, after attending his mother’s funeral.
A few miles east of Memphis, police pulled the couple over, and approached the car with body armor and guns. The police told the couple they had been pulled over for a “marijuana sticker” on their bumper.
The “marijuana sticker” was in fact a Buckeye leaf decal to represent Ohio State. When Jonas-Boggioni told the police this, they didn’t seem to understand. The police let Jonas-Boggioni and her husband go, but not before telling her she should remove the offensive sticker from her car.
“I didn’t take it off. . . . This little old lady is no drug dealer,” said Jonas Boggioni.
