Expectations have come crashing down for Auburn fans since the Tigers’ 2010 BCS championship, so much so that the Krystal restaurant in Auburn, AL, has a simple yet encouraging message running on its marquee: “Go Tigers Beat Somebody.”
At 1–7, Auburn will be favored to make good on Krystal’s wish in two of their final four games, against New Mexico State (also 1–7) this Saturday and FCS Alabama A&M on Nov. 17.
As for the Tigers’ two remaining SEC games, against Georgia and Alabama? Krystal will probably stick to advertising its $2.99 value meal rather than prayers for a football miracle.
