Petrino Surfaces as Golf Tourney Caddie

While the SEC kicked off its media days on Tuesday in Birmingham, AL, former Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino finally resurfaced after getting fired by the school and laying low for the last three months.

Where, you ask?

As his daughter’s caddie in a women’s golf tournament.

Yes, the picture below is Petrino out of the neck brace he received after his April 1st motorcycle crash with Jessica Dorrell and pushing a golf bag down the fairway for his daughter, Katie, who is currently participating in the Lexmark Kentucky Women’s Open in Nicholasville, KY.

Katie is a rising redshirt sophomore golfer at the University of Louisville – where he father used to coach – who is taking part in the two-day tournament that ends on Wednesday.

We already know that her father enjoys the golf course and it’s nice to see that Petrino’s relationship with his daughter hasn’t been fractured from his misdeeds in Fayetteville although the jokes about Petrino finding himself among young women again are surely soon to follow.

    Bobby Petrino once coached at my alma mater and favorite college sports program, The University of Louisville. This is a basketball state and U of L has a rich tradition as one of the top basketball programs in Mens College Basketball ( Coach Rick Pitino).
    Bobby Petrino brought excitment to UofL football. He was’nt here long, 3 or 4 years and our program did well. However, Bobby Petrino is always looking out for Bobby Petrino and whats good for himself.
    He left for the Pro’s with the Atlanta Falcons for after about 3 weeks I assume for the money. When it was evident that Michael Vick and his dog fighting ring that left him in prison for 2 years Bobby Petrino left. He went to Arkansas, an SEC school that he had success with. While he was here at Louisville many bad rumors of his program abounded, but he won games so much was over looked. From a sports readers perspective Bobby Petrino is arrogant, selfish, and non committal to anyone other than Bobby Petrino. God help the next school that hires him. For the next school that hires him, buyer beware!

    Former Coach Petrino coached my son at the University of Louisville. He and his Brother are teriffic people. I am saddened about his mistake but he will bounce back as Michael Vick did.

      I’m glad he was nice to your son at Louisville. But a man who would have an affair with a girl half his age, who also was supposed to be engaged, is far from “teriffice people”. He has destroyed his marriage and possibly a marriage-to-be.

      If Petrino was YOUR husband, and had an affair, would you still think he was a teriffic person? Think about it.

    ark football was on the brink of greatness….only because of bobby. the sanctamonious athletic director jeff long has ruined our program….it will take 20 years to recover. jeff should have take a cue from mike alden at missouri, who punished gary pinkel without destrying a program. no recruits, maybe a 7/5 season a “govenor moonbeam” at the helm. watch for my coming website “bring back bobby petrino.com.

    Aparrently Petrino was able to squirrel away enough of his bloated Razorback salary that he doesn’t have to work anymore! Gross misconduct on the part of so called coaching professionals really has no downside. THose who paid tuition until it hurts and continue to supprot the University financially get a good, warm feeling from this…………….
