Kids, don’t try this at home.
Oregon State guard Roberto Nelson was playing a pick-up game in Macedonia with his teammates on a service trip there a couple weeks ago when he shattered a glass backboard on a put-back dunk.
Pretty sweet, right?
The only problem is that Nelson left the floor looking like a vampire with blood streaming down his face that required 20 stitches. Fortunately, Nelson avoided serious injury. The rising sophomore averaged 7.5 PPG as a freshman last year for the Beavers.
While a trip to the hospital is never fun, our guess is Nelson would do it all over again in a heart beat.
