Incoming Florida State freshman Nick O’Leary isn’t just the grandson of Jack Nicklaus, a 6-foot-4, 235-beastly tight and the No. 33 overall recruit by Rivals, he’s also a caddie – at least for today.
That’s right, O’Leary is caddying for his grandfather at today’s Par 3 contest at August National for The Masters’ legendary Par 3 contest.
While he’s there, O’Leary might want to read up on the Golden Bear’s achievements on the golf course.
When asked about the 25th anniversary of Nicklaus’ magical victory at the age of 46, O’Leary responded: “I had no idea. Never knew about it until just before we got here. I saw the books about the 1986 Masters and asked him if he won.”
We wonder if he’s heard of Bobby Bowden…
