Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde is clearly ready for his close-up.
The presumed starter for the Buckeyes’ first two games of the 2012 season, Hyde was recently video-taped at practice trucking through running backs coach Stan Drayton during a drill. Not only was it an impressive feat of strength for the junior from Florida, it also garnered a chuckle from OSU head coach Urban Meyer.
Hyde packs a punch at six feet and 232 pounds. Perhaps not as much as former Alabama star Trent Richardson during the Crimson Tide’s Pro Day this past spring, but definitely enough to keep Miami (OH) on its toes for its Sept. 1 game at Ohio Stadium.
