Ohio State cornerbacks coach and special teams coordinator Kerry Coombs just became our favorite college football assistant coach.
During the Buckeyes’ first spring practice on Tuesday, the players were going through footwork drills to get loose. A task simple enough — especially to Coombs — that a water break wasn’t necessary. When one player decided otherwise, Coombs was none too pleased.
“What do you need water for, Sunshine?!” Coombs screamed. “We’re stretching! And you’re a kicker! Are you tired from stretching?!”
Coombs’ one-liners are already well known in the Ohio State fan community. We are overjoyed to now be aware of his comedic excellence.
