Yes, Villanova fans, that headshot of a scraggly bearded and big-haired pro basketball player in Italy is, in fact, a photo of former all-everything guard Scottie Reynolds.
The Herndon, VA, native may have changed his look, but not his sweet-shooting ways. The 25-year-old is averaging 10.9 PPG on 56.4% shooting — including 41.3% from distance — for Italy’s Enel Brindisi, with whom he is in his first year.
Reynolds’ pro career — which he has also spent in the D-League, Philippines and Turkey — comes on the heels of a memorable four years with the Wildcats. He was a key component to Villanova’s 2009 Final Four and 2008 Sweet Sixteen teams while earning First Team All-America (2010) and Big East Rookie of the Year (2007) honors. His 2,222 career points are second in school history behind only Kerry Kittles.
