It’s safe to say Northern Illinois football players are excited about playing in the school’s first-ever BCS bowl.
Huskies linebacker Victor Jacques took that excitement to a whole new level with a massive tattoo of the city of Miami to honor the team’s trip to the Orange Bowl – and his hometown. The tattoo (below) features the Miami skyline, the Biscayne Bay, the Miami-Dade county logo, a marlin jumping out of the water and the Orange Bowl logo.
“It wasn’t hard to find someone to get the logo right, but I had to get the money right. It’s not cheap.” Jacques told CSN Chicago. “I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do — it definitely had to do with Miami — but it all came together. The Orange Bowl just topped it off. It was the icing on the cake.”
According to Jacques, the tattoo took four hours to complete and three weeks to heal.
With all he invested in his arm, Jacques better hope the Huskies pull off the huge upset of Florida State on Jan. 1 to make that ink worth it.
