Alabama is already the envy of the college football world, having won three of the last four BCS national championships and continuing to dominate on the recruiting trail. And that’s before pictures of the Crimson Tide’s new locker room hit the web.
Part of a nearly $100 million renovation of Alabama’s football facilities — part of which went to a new strength and conditioning center that was first revealed in February — the still-under-renovation locker room is the type of grandiose space you’d expect from a program that boasts both a rich history and the highest perch in the CFB universe right now.
Like many Crimson Tide fans who commented on the Reddit thread, our favorite part of the new locker room is the giant mural of past Alabama standouts who made it to the NFL — among them Trent Richardson, Mark Ingram, Cornelius Bennett, Derrick Thomas and Chris Samuels — charging out of the tunnel and onto the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The room with a huge red “script A” light in the ceiling and giant pictures of Alabama national title rings isn’t too shabby either. (We’re still waiting on pictures of the Tide’s new waterfall.)
Roll locker room.
