NC State’s Scott Wood is a deadly shooter, hitting 42.2% from beyond the arc and 91.2% from the free throw line. That freakish accuracy pales in comparison, however, to Wood’s abilities as a trick-shot artist.
At the Wolfpack’s practice court recently, Wood underhanded the ball off the wall behind one of the baskets. It hit the floor in front of the hoop’s 3-second lane, bouncing high off the ground with tons of backspin and hitting nothing but twine.
In another dimension, if Larry Bird and Michael Jordan had included Wood in their game of H-O-R-S-E, Wood might have taken them both.
