Navy’s Goat Mascot Left Outside Pentagon

Anyone in the Arlington, VA, area who forgot that the Army-Navy football game was next Saturday got a reminder if they happened to be driving by the Pentagon on Army Navy Drive.

Navy’s official mascot, Bill the Goat, was found attached to a median near the Department of Defense headquarters following his kidnapping (goatnapping?) last weekend. Bill is kept year-round at Maryland Sunrise Farm in Gambrills and is habitually poached in advance of the Army-Navy game.

However, he isn’t normally left dangerously close to traffic like he was this year.

“You would have thought [the culprits] would have taken [the goat] to somewhere safe,” Sunrise Farm manager John Jordan told the Navy Times. “Maybe it’s time the prank stopped.”

Good luck convincing the folks in West Point that.
