Starting in the 2014 season, CB Naijiel Hale is going to try and regulate things in the Arizona secondary.
The son of the late Nate Dogg — a longtime member of the rap trio 213 (along with Warren G and Snoop Dogg) who also collaborated with Dr. Dre, Eminem and Tupac — committed to the Wildcats on Tuesday. The St. John Bosco (CA) High School product is Rivals’ 33rd-best CB for the Class of 2014 and the 35th-best player overall in the state of California.
It’s seemingly a banner time for the football-playing sons of famous hip-hop artists. Hale joins the likes of UCLA DB Justin Combs (son of P. Diddy) and Class of 2015 WR prospect Cordell Broadus (son of Snoop Dogg) with hopes of contributing to big-time programs in coming seasons.
