NAIA Back Has Jaw-Dropping TD Run

If you thought that former Auburn running back Michael Dyer’s “keep the legs churning” run in the 2010 BCS title game was cool, let us introduce you to Menlo (CA) College’s Brandon Bell.

In an NAIA game against Occidental College this past Saturday, Bell received a handoff at Occidental’s 43-yard line and was seemingly stopped five yards later. But the freshman never went down and kept pumping his legs, emerging from the pile and sprinting to the end zone – almost going down twice while doing so – to give Menlo a 42–6 lead.

Bell ended the day with 140 yards on just eight carries, and his video game-like TD was SI.com’s “Sports Video of the Day” on Saturday. NAIA players can make a name for themselves, too.
