They had to rub Ke$ha in the wound.
Just days ago, a video showing the Wisconsin Badgers dancing to Ke$ha after beating Michigan on Saturday made the rounds on the internet. Apparently, the arch-rival Minnesota Gophers took note.
After a 58-53 overtime victory over Wisconsin last night, coach Tubby Smith and the Gophers returned to the locker room, for the post-game speech. As soon as Smith was done, however, someone cued the Ke$ha and Minnesota went nuts.
Smith even joined in, as senior forward Trevor Mbakwe picked his coach up and swung him around.
Apparently no Gopher wanted to take credit for the diss, and when Mbakwe was asked afterwards if the music choice was deliberate, he had this to say with a smile:
