It’s not uncommon for a former Heisman winner to also make headlines, if not all-out steal the show, from the current year’s winner at the trophy presentation ceremony. On Saturday, former Nebraska star RB Mike Rozier did so not with anything he said, but rather what he wore.
The 1983 Heisman Trophy winner sported a pimp-like suit, the top half of which can only be described as “butterscotch plaid.” Around the midriff of the jacket — and the elbows of the sleeves — the plaid pattern stopped and was replaced by a solid mustard/copper coloring.
And much to our delight, Rozier topped it off with a mustard-colored fedora. According to the Twittersphere, Rozier has made a habit out of showing up to the Heisman ceremony each year in audacious attire. A habit, we hope, he continues with for as long as possible. Mike Rozier profile
