Mike Bibby Ejected From Son’s H.S. Game

Mike Bibby’s hatred for officiating runs deep.

Bibby, the former legendary Arizona Wildcat guard and 15-year NBA veteran, has been spending a lot of time in Arizona post-retirement.

His son, Michael, plays for Bibby’s alma mater, Shadow Mountain H.S. in Phoenix.

On Friday night, Bibby was ejected from his son’s game for arguing calls with the referees, and escorted out of the gym by police while smiling and waving to an adoring crowd. Michael’s team went on to win the game, despite Bibby’s outburst and ejection. Based on Bibby’s reaction, it seems it was well worth it.

The former 2002 Sacramento King knows all too well how poor officiating can change the outcome of a high school game, or the NBA Finals.

Shouldn’t Mr.Bibby be there to support the younger Bibby? Getting ejected from a high school gym indicates that Mr. Bibby believes he is more important than anything else.
If he has so much to offer, why not become an official and share his knowledge of the game in a constructive sort of way.
Oh! I’m sorry! Mr. Bibby is above that sort of thing. Kudos to the game mgmnt for tossing the clown out!.

For a man who has made $millions off the game you would think he’d show more respect for game management, officials and players. When my kids played sports they did NOT want to hear their parents on the sideline. I feel sorry for his son. I also can’t believe he wasn’t “booed” out of the gym rather than going out like a star. Shame on the fans!
