Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis loves thinking outside the box.
After successfully pulling off the Cold War, the Basketbowl and the Carrier Classic, Hollis is thinking even bigger.

Playing a basketball game against USC in Greece. Yes, the Spartans and Trojans in the Trojan War II.
“We’ve been talking about Greece for a while,” Hollis told the Lansing State Journal.
The setting, of course, would be Panathinaiko Stadium in Athens, the home of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.
Take a look below at what Panathinaiko Stadium looks like today. Does that look fit to hold a college basketball game? We guess in comparison to an aircraft carrier it does.
This idea leaves us with so many unanswered questions: Would one of USC’s Song Girls play Helen of Troy that the two teams would battle over? Would the Spartans arrive in Athens on a fleet of ships? Would MSU’s players enter the court on a Trojan Horse? Would Tom Izzo be on the bench looking like a Spartan warrior as he once did for Midnight Madness?
We can only hope the answer to all the above is yes.
