Michigan Gets New Uniforms for Alabama

It feels like a day hasn’t gone by this summer without a football program unveiling new uniforms for this fall and on Monday that program was Michigan.

The Wolverines and Adidas released a commemorative jersey to be worn when Michigan faces Alabama in Cowboys Stadium on Sept. 1 that includes numbers on the legendary winged helmets (not included in photos), a yellow stripe and block “M” on the shoulders and some mind-blowing gloves with words of the fight song, “Hail to the Victors!” on them.

Like the fight song itself, people are either going to love or hate the gloves that have already been described by the college football blog KegsNEggs as “Words With Friends on acid” in a tweet.

Overall, these are certainly much better uniforms than the bumblebee disasters the Wolverines wore on occasion last season but we grade them slightly below the Sugar Bowl uniforms that had a cleaner look than this. Grade: B

    Think they look great…@ buckeye jim aka hairless nut the most recognized helmet in football .. vs the ugly red & gray uniform give me a break.. THIS IS MICHIGAN..

    They look good guys, good to see they did not go overboard like so many others. Great to see the Wolverines back on the right path where they belong. I am waiting on the first playoff to include Mich, USC, ND and of course my beloved TIde. Time to get those uniforms dirty, play ball.

    With as many Michigan players as are getting arrested on felony charges, maybe they should all be wearing prison stripes. It won’t matter anyway, Bama will humiliate them. GO BUCKS!

      That really hurts coming from a F***eye! When isn’t OSU in trouble?  In what century did OSU not have player’s in trouble?  Oh yeah, that’s right this time last year everyone was crying…that’s laughable!

    These are a total waste of money. They could of did something way more creative than stripes on the shoulders.

    I do like the M on the shoulders…but you do realize that the bright pants are going to make it even easier for Bama to track you down!!!   ROLL TIDE!!!

    I wonder what Bama’s W/L record is for games against opponents sporting new uni’s for a “big” game…the whole blackout concept was demolished by Bama vs. UGA a few years back…and the Michigan football player model in the pic above is holding up the “A” sign…is that fear taking over, Michigan?

      I didn’t realize bama trademarked the proper form for a reciever catching an incoming ball and labeled it the “A” sign.
