One of Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer’s tricks of the trade is that he starts paying attention to potential recruits when they’re young. Really young.
Recently, Meyer received a flyer in the mail outlining the “athletic accomplishments” of two-year-old Columbus resident Sullivan Busser, a 3-foot-2, 25-pound quarterback in the Class of 2029. Included on the flyer are several photos of Busser running wild at Ohio Stadium with a mini football.
Meyer responded with a letter that read:
Your parents sent us your future Buckeye recruiting information. We will look for you to make your collegiate football debut in 2029 — you will need to gain a little weight, but our strength staff will take care of that! Go Bucks!
