Need to spice up a college football game that is projected to be a blowout? Call “The Rocketman.”
Before TCU’s 56–0 home win over Grambling on Saturday, the Horned Frogs arranged for a unique delivery of the game ball: Having it flown in by Hollywood stuntman Dan Schlund via jet pack.
Schlund, who lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area not far from Amon Carter Stadium, has made a habit out of performing for college football fans. He did a flyover for last year’s Michigan-Purdue game — part of a salute to the Apollo 15 mission — and the OU-Tulsa game in 2007.
Unlike the late Fan Man, Schlund’s aerial displays at sporting events are planned well in advance.
