Whether you like it or not, those single-tone uniforms that Adidas-sponsored basketball teams are wearing this season are here to stay. Alas, Louisville’s unveiling of its “White Out” uniforms for Sunday’s home game against Marquette is yet another new set of threads we don’t like.
The only thing that prevents this from being completely white-on-white is the red outline surrounding “Louisville” on the front and the players’ numbers on the front and back. Heck, we can’t even read the player nameplates across the shoulders.
One person who probably does like these is Rick Pitino. When he’s wearing his gaudy all-white suit (which we assume he’ll sport for the “White Out” game), he won’t feel nearly as ridiculous as he usually does.
