One of the more well-respected players in recent Florida football history is heading back to Gainesville.
Head coach Will Muschamp announced on Monday morning that former Gators quarterback Chris Leak, 28, has been hired as a quality control assistant with the program. The MVP of Florida’s 41–14 rout of Ohio State in the 2007 BCS title game, Leak was also a two-time Second Team All-SEC honoree (2004 and 2006) and holds school records for career completions (895), attempts (1,458) and yards (11,213).
Since going unselected in the 2007 NFL Draft, he bounced around the NFL, CFL and AFL. Chris Leak profile
