LB Recruit Foster Sleeps Through Class

Alabama linebacker recruit Reuben Foster, ranked the No. 2 overall prospect in America by Scout.com, has made a lot of news for himself before his first college game between his tragic upbringing, Auburn tattoo and dressing up as Nick Saban on National Signing Day.

Well, Foster’s latest reason for sparking conversation probably won’t go over well with Saban, as pictures of Foster sleeping through class at Auburn High School in Auburn, AL, have surfaced on the internet after being taken by a classmate.

The first one with Foster slumped over in his chair is bad enough, but check out the second photo of Foster sleeping while standing up and sprawled out over his entire desk.

Naturally, the internet ran wild with these pictures, photoshopping Foster in places like a Tetris game (below).

We’ve heard of senioritis, but this is a whole new level.

    In the second photo he is standing and leaning over the desk. Don’t you think that his body would be limp? I’m not saying he wasn’t sleeping, but he could just as easily be pretending. this is probably in class before the lecture even began.

    As someone who went to auburn high school a few years ago I can easily say sleeping in class is not uncommon or at all a big deal. It was pretty normal for 5/30 people to be asleep in any given class.

    He better sleep now, cause when he gets to Alabama Saban will not allow it. At Alabama he will be just another football player. Everyone was a stud in High School. He’ll do things right or he won’t be there long.

    When he gets to Bama he won’t have to go to class to sleep. He can just cut class and stay in his nice warm bed back at the athletic dorm.

    While I think these are pretty funny, this is nothing new. The list of students that haven’t fallen asleep at one time or another is FAR shorter than those that have. The kid will end up playing for Bama, and probably doing well. Good stuff in the mean time.

    His degree if he gets one will be in physical education and basket weaving, A body at rest tends to stay at rest, Maybe he feels different about, crushing opponents on the football field. He could be resting from taking care of the cheerleaders before school. Good luck to him.
