North Carolina’s May Signs In Turkey

It looked like Sean May was on his way to super stardom after being named the 2005 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player with a virtuoso performance in the title game, scoring 26 points on 10-11 shooting vs. Illinois.

But since leaving school early for the NBA, the former Tar Heel has been plagued by injuries, weight problems and a questionable work ethic. And after getting cut by the Nets in September, May has now signed with the Turkish squad Fenerbahce Ulker, who is currently 6-0 on the season.

We wonder if May will get the same reception at the Istanbul airport as Allen Iverson

Was at Istanbul airport today when he arrived. Pretty low key. 6 photographers and half of them didn’t know who he was.
