It’s an exciting time at the University of Houston, as the school is coming off a 13-1 season in football and getting ready for a new football stadium and a move from Conference USA to the Big East.
As such, the school decided to overhaul its logo and the school’s athletics website unveiled a new look and redesigned “UH” mark that gets a luke-warm response from us. True, the old logo (bottom left) wasn’t exactly eye-popping, but the new one (bottom right) feels like a mix between Kansas State’s “Powercat” and the logo from the 1980s cartoon show, “ThunderCats.”
