It looks like Gonzaga can have its cake and eat it too.
Upon being ranked No. 1 in college basketball’s AP poll for the first time in school history on Monday, the Gonzaga school cafeteria made a massive, 20-foot free cake for students in the shape of a giant “1″ with the words, “Congratulations ZAGS!” It was placed in front of the Crosby Student Center at the heart of campus.
It looks like Gonzaga students were looking for another treat in the form of cancelled classes:
Only had a piece of a giant #1 cake to eat today and nothing has ever tasted to good. #Gonzaga

Not gonna cancel class today Gonzaga? Fine, we will all just go to class amped up on the giant #1 cake… Game on.

But hey, this isn’t a bad way to savor a historic day for Bulldog basketball.
